Cool colour classification

Characteristics

Cool, calm, and collected—those blessed with cool undertones possess a refined elegance that speaks volumes in its understated simplicity. Cools often have fair to medium skin that has pink or rosy undertones. Their hair tends to be ash grey, blonde, cool brown, or black, and their eyes can range from blue and grey to green.

Investment colours

Because your look is cool and pinkish, all your colours need to have a cool undertone, preferably with some contrast. You will always look best in medium to deep colours. If you wear brown, balance it with cool shades from your palette, such as peacock or apple.

The cool palette has a wide variety of light and dark colours and clear and soft colours. The best colour combination types for you are either to use the lighter brighter colours in the palette or to do so with a lighter colour when wearing your darker shades.

Warm colour classification

Characteristics

Warm and inviting, like a sun-kissed embrace on a balmy summer day—those with warm undertones often have peachy or golden hues in their skin. Their hair may be golden blonde, coppery red, or rich brown, and their eyes can range from hazel and brown to amber. They possess a sunny disposition and an infectious enthusiasm for life's simple pleasures.

Investment Colours

Because your overall look is warm, the golden rule is to balance it by choosing colours that have a warm undertone. You will always look best in colours that are medium in depth, rather than light or deep. When wearing navy or grey, warm them up with tones from the palette below.

Characteristics

Soft, subtle, and effortlessly elegant—those with a soft color classification often have skin with a neutral or slightly warm undertone that has a soft, muted quality. Their hair may be a blend of light to medium browns or soft shades of blonde, and their eyes tend to be hazel, soft blue, or green. They possess a quiet strength and a deep sense of inner peace.

Clear colour classification

Characteristics

Bold, vibrant, and unapologetically confident—those with a clear colour classification often have skin with a clear, bright quality and cool undertones. Their hair may be deep brown or black with a high contrast against their skin, and their eyes can range from bright blue to intense brown. They possess a magnetic charisma and a fearless spirit that captivates all who encounter them.

Investment colours

Because your look is contrasting, you need to wear your colours in a way that balances this. You will always look good in a contrast of light and dark colours. If you wear more muted colours like light taupe and pewter, liven them up with brighter shades from your palette.

If you dress in a single colour, make sure it is one of the most vivid from your palette. If your personality type makes you uncomfortable wearing very bright colours, use accessories to add colour to your look: bright scarves, necklaces or earrings will also give you the contrast you need.

Deep colour classification

Characteristics

Mysterious, sultry, and endlessly captivating—those with deep color classification often have rich, dark skin with warm undertones that may have a high contrast against their hair and eyes. Their hair may be deep brown or black, and their eyes can range from deep brown to black or intense shades of hazel. They possess an air of mystery and intrigue that leaves a lasting impression on all who cross their path.

Investment colours

These colours can be used as block colours or in prints. Being classified as a Deep, you should wear pale or pastel colours sparingly, these will always look better on you when worn with dark or bright colours. Be bold and choose bright colours from your palettes such as deep reds, kiwi, topaz and lemon.

Light deep colour classification

Characteristics

Airy, angelic, and impossibly chic—those with a light colour classification often have fair to light skin with cool undertones that may have a delicate, porcelain quality. Their hair may be blonde or light brown with soft, cool tones, and their eyes tend to be blue, grey, or green. They possess a gentle, otherworldly grace that seems to float on air.

Investment colours

These colours can be used as block colours or in prints. Combining two colours can be more flattering than wearing a single muted colour. Colours can also be used in a monochromatic way, i.e. two shades of blues, which perfectly complement each other.
